Notas: This study is part of research line about the material resources used for medical research in Spain during the developmental period of Francoism, 1957-1972. The work focus The original articles have been published over one year (1965) in the journal of reference of this time, Revista Clínica Española, biweekly since 1940 and directed by Carlos Jimenez Diaz. It is a cross-sectional study of a historical nature, and allows comparative analysis with similar studies or in the same context. We have analyzed the basic data of each article (author, subject or subject area, responsible institution, etc.) and then the formal paragraph "Materials and Methods" and registered and classified the research materials with established criteria. The results show that the laboratory tests were the kind of research most often used in investigations that year, followed by the study in both groups of sick or healthy patients, The chemicals were a necessary material in most part of the studies, being the most commonly used drugs. For the assessment or discussion we compare the general studies that provide an evolutionary magazine image, the study with the same methodology and referred to a previous period (1960), and current issues of Revista Clínica Española that reveal the most notable changes in the magazine and in the style of research and publish in Spanish or international medical journals.
