note = "Do resultative constructions exist in Spanish? This work
deals with Spanish resultative constructions in order to
explain the category combinations available in this
language to express the result component. Our main aim is
to give rise to a higher visibility of the Spanish
constructions, as its analysis has been traditionally
biased by English resultatives studies. Ramchand’s
framework, which has been adopted here, is directly related
to the Nanosyntax hypotheses. By following a morphological
approach, we have concluded that the consideration of
Spanish constructions from the standpoint of English ones
is inappropriate, because they are not the same at all
(i.e. they can not be perfectly and equally translated).
Indeed, we placed linguistic variation in the morphological
domain of each language and, more concretely, in the
categories selected for the expression of the result
component. We argue that the result component is universal
in natural languages, whereas languages seem to differ in
how their morphology interacts with the syntactic
interface, what definitely offers empirical evidence to
Chomsky’s Biolinguistic Hypothesis.",
