Notas: We are currently within reach of many technological resources, including visual and multimedia, such as images and videos. In the field of education, specifically Biology, these resources in the classroom are not widely used for different reasons, among them, the lack of literacy of students and the lack of importance given to them by teachers, especially to images. This work tries to emphasize the importance of the images from the didactics of the sciences in Biology. After a theoretical review, analysis of different textbooks and implementation in an institute, it shows the justification of the use of images in science and the results are applied in a real classroom.
