000063389 5203_ $$aLa “República de los Atenienses” es un pequeño escrito que casi podríamos considerar un panfleto político, atribuido desde la Antigüedad a Jenofonte. Este texto ha sido causante de numerosas polémicas, ya que cada aspecto de su estudio y cada idea manifestada han sido rápidamente contestados, señalando las múltiples interpretaciones de las palabras recogidas en este escrito. En el presente artículo vamos, por una parte, a repasar algunas de las polémicas relacionadas con la fecha de su composición, su título o su autoría, por ejemplo; por otra parte, a investigar el escrito conocido como “La República de los Atenienses” en busca de una posible propuesta política alternativa, quizás, a la democracia que vio en su tiempo y a la oligarquía paradigmática.
The “Republic of the Athenians” is a small script that we could almost consider a political pamphlet, attributed from Antiquity to Xenophon. This text has been the cause of many controversies, since every aspect of his study and every idea manifested has been quickly answered, pointing out the multiple interpretations of the words collected in this writing. In the present article we are going, on the one hand, to review some of the controversies related to the date of its composition, its title or its authorship, for example; on the other hand, to investigate the document known as “The Republic of the Athenians” in search of a possible alternative political proposal, perhaps, to the democracy that he saw in its time and to the paradigmatic oligarchy.
