Notas: Rugby is a contact sport where there are numerous injuries. As we know sports injuries have a high economic cost and directly affect to the performance of the team. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation is to determine the incidence, severity and nature of the injuries suffered during the second round of the 2016-2017 season of a team that belongs to the senior Basque Rugby League, with 30 players. Descriptive and longitudinal study. The methodology and procedure was the protocol of data collection, was established in the consensus document prepared by the Injury Consensus Group through the International Rugby Board. The measures taken included age (years), height (cm), body mass (kg), players position of play, incidence at the group level (injuries/1000 players-hours), severity (days-absence), location (%), type (%) ... injury by matches and trainings. The statistical method used has been descriptive and inferential, using Chi-square for the comparison of groups of the categorical variables and analysis of the variance (ANOVA) for the comparison of means, it was considered that the results were statistically significant, when the p was less than 0.005 . The results obtained, the incidence of the injury was 86.1 injuries per match/1000 player match hours (forwards: 104.9, backs: 64.3) and 1.9 training injuries/1000 hours of player training (front: 2.5, bakcs: 1.1). The average severity of injuries was 10.8 days of absence during games. Among the conclusions highlight that the incidence, the nature and the causes associated with the injuries per game were greater in forwards than in backs and similar to the professional rugby leagues.
