Resumen: Breve presentación de la asignatura El objetivo principal de esta asignatura es que el estudiante mejore su competencia comunicativa oral y escrita en lengua inglesa, consolidando un nivel intermedio de dominio, especialmente en aquellos aspectos en los que se detecten deficiencias (como pueden ser el conocimiento de la fonética y el desarrollo de la conciencia metalingüística y metapragmática), a la vez que reflexiona sobre las prácticas de aula y los procesos y estrategias que contribuyen a mejorar el aprendizaje y a sentar las bases de su formación didáctica específica.   Programa de la asignatura  La planificación de las diferentes actividades de aprendizaje incluirá, a modo de ejemplo, los siguientes temas específicos relevantes para el futuro maestro de Educación Primaria:   - Education today   - Children and their world   - Technologies and education   - Interculturality and education 

Abstract: The main objective of the course is for learners to develop communicative competence, consolidating an intermediate level, with special attention to those aspects in which learners’ prior knowledge may be scarce or deficient (such as phonetics or the development of metalinguistic and metapragmatic awareness), at the same time as learners reflect on classroom procedures, learning processes and strategies for a more effective learning and future teaching of the foreign language. Contents:Learning activities will turn around the following specific topics of interest for the Primary teacher, among others:- Education today- Children and their world- Technologies and education- Interculturality and education
