Notas: Treatments for eating disorders (ED) entail very important personal and health costs. There is increasing evidence to suggest that therapeutic and pharmacologic interventions minimize the effect of the disease on the physical, the personal, family and workplace deterioration (Fairburn, Wilson and Terence, 2013, Fallon and Wisniewski, 2013). The aim of the present study has involved identifying the different reasons that may be associated to psychological and pharmacologic treatments dropout in patients diagnosed with ED in the Eating Disorders Service (EDS) at the University Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla in Santander. In order to recognize the different reasons for dropouts to treatment, we conducted a survey of patients diagnosed with ED by collecting data through a semistructured interview. The sample consisted of a total of 87 patients suspected of treatment dropout; however, the final sample was 54.
