Recently, the EDCHO protocol leveraged high order sliding modes to achieve exact consensus under a constrained set of initial conditions, limiting its applicability to static networks. In this work, we propose REDCHO, an extension of the previous protocol which is robust to mismatch in the initial conditions, making it suitable to use cases in which connection and disconnection of agents is possible. The convergence properties of the protocol are formally explored. Finally, the effectiveness and advantages of our proposal are shown with concrete simulation examples showing the benefits of REDCHO against other methods in the literature. 000118061 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA-FSE/T45-20R$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MCIU-AEI-FEDER/PGC2018-098719-B-I00$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EUR/SUDOE/INTERREG/COMMANDIA-SOE2-P1-F0638 000118061 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/es/ 000118061 590__ $$a6.4$$b2022 000118061 592__ $$a3.657$$b2022 000118061 591__ $$aENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC$$b46 / 274 = 0.168$$c2022$$dQ1$$eT1 000118061 591__ $$aAUTOMATION & CONTROL SYSTEMS$$b12 / 65 = 0.185$$c2022$$dQ1$$eT1 000118061 593__ $$aElectrical and Electronic Engineering$$c2022$$dQ1 000118061 593__ $$aControl and Systems Engineering$$c2022$$dQ1 000118061 594__ $$a10.7$$b2022 000118061 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000118061 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-9458-6257$$aAragüés, R.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118061 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-3032-954X$$aSagüés, C.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118061 7102_ $$15007$$2520$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
