Its main goal is to test in a model independent way one of the most puzzling results in the present particle physics scenario: the DAMA/LIBRA observation of an annual modulation in the detection rate compatible with that expected for dark matter. This signal is in strong tension with the negative results of other very sensitive experiments. However, until recently a direct comparison using the same target material (NaI(Tl)) was lacking. ANAIS-112 has been taking data since August 2017 in stable conditions with excellent performance. Results from the first three years are compatible with the absence of modulation and incompatible with the DAMA/LIBRA measured modulation at more than 2.5σ C.L. This result supports the projected goal of reaching a 3σ sensitivity to the DAMA/LIBRA result for the scheduled five-year operation. 000118066 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA/E27-20R$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MICINN/PID2019-104374GB-I00$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/Consolider-Ingenio2010-CPAN-CSD2007-00042$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/Consolider-Ingenio2010-CSD2009-00064$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO-FEDER/FPA2017-83133-P$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/Spanish Red Consolider MultiDark FPA2017-90566-REDC 000118066 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/es/ 000118066 592__ $$a0.183$$b2022 000118066 593__ $$aPhysics and Astronomy (miscellaneous)$$c2022 000118066 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000118066 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-6948-5101$$aCebrián, S.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118066 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-5187-2640$$aCintas, D.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118066 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-8100-1368$$aCoarasa, I.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118066 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-9827-2332$$aGarcía, E.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118066 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-9043-4691$$aMartínez, M.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000118066 700__ $$aOliván, M.
