Methods: A 12-month follow-up analysis was carried out in a single-blind, randomized clinical trial to research the long-term effects of a 10-week PCS program evaluating the cognitive level, depression, and anxiety of older adults with possible MCI. Results: Fifty older adults were assessed 12 months after the CS program, 23 in the intervention group and 27 in the control group. There were significant differences between the groups at 12 months in the global cognition (p = .002), in global orientation (p < .001), and in spatial orientation (p = .004) in favor of the intervention group, measured with the Spanish version of the Mini-Mental Status Examination (MEC-35). Conclusions: A PCS program could be effective in improving global cognition and global and spatial orientation. Clinical implications: A PCS program based on cognitive levels in older adults with possible MCI achieves improvements in global cognition and global and spatial orientation. PCS programs can be applied successfully by trained occupational therapists. 000121302 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby-nc-nd$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ 000121302 590__ $$a2.8$$b2022 000121302 592__ $$a0.813$$b2022 000121302 591__ $$aGERONTOLOGY$$b17 / 37 = 0.459$$c2022$$dQ2$$eT2 000121302 593__ $$aHealth (social science)$$c2022$$dQ1 000121302 591__ $$aPSYCHIATRY$$b75 / 143 = 0.524$$c2022$$dQ3$$eT2 000121302 593__ $$aGeriatrics and Gerontology$$c2022$$dQ2 000121302 591__ $$aGERIATRICS & GERONTOLOGY$$b36 / 54 = 0.667$$c2022$$dQ3$$eT3 000121302 593__ $$aSocial Psychology$$c2022$$dQ2 000121302 591__ $$aPSYCHIATRY$$b102 / 154 = 0.662$$c2022$$dQ3$$eT3 000121302 593__ $$aClinical Psychology$$c2022$$dQ2 000121302 593__ $$aGerontology$$c2022$$dQ2 000121302 594__ $$a5.9$$b2022 000121302 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersion 000121302 700__ $$aBrandín-de la Cruz, Natalia 000121302 700__ $$aCuenca Zaldívar, Juan N. 000121302 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-1674-7788$$aCalvo, Sandra$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000121302 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-9201-0120$$aHerrero, Pablo$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000121302 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-4307-796X$$aCalatayud, Estela$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000121302 7102_ $$11006$$2413$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
