000124978 520__ $$aRESUMEN<br />Entre las obras públicas, legado del paso por Hispania de los romanos, las presas son las grandes desconocidas, las que menos se han estudiado técnicamente o arqueológicamente lo que se traduce en una falta de definición y catalogación. <br />Para el estudio de las presas romanas es preciso la utilización de diversas ramas del conocimiento: la Ingeniería Civil y la Historia y la Arqueología. Ambas ciencias nos pueden permitir alcanzar una visión de la ordenación territorial y ser punto de partida para la localización de restos arqueológicos de poblamientos asociados a las mismas. <br />En este trabajo se realiza, en primer lugar, una síntesis general sobre las presas romanas en la península Ibérica para establecer dónde se construyen, para qué uso, la evolución de las diferentes técnicas de construcción de las mismas, materiales y evolución de los tipos constructivos de las que han llegado a nuestros días. <br />En otro apartado se expone la evolución que han tenido los estudios sobre las presas, y la forma en que están sujetas a protección por parte de las autoridades.<br />Finalmente, un último apartado se dedica al estudio de las presas existentes en la cuenca del río Aguasvivas, con una aportación personal del autor del trabajo, como ingeniero de caminos, en cuanto a exponer algunas hipótesis sobre las mismas. <br />SUMMARY<br />Among public works, a legacy of the passage through Hispania of the Romans dams are a great unknown, they are the least studied technically or archaeologically; hence there is a lack of definition and cataloging. <br />To the research on the roman dams, it is precisely the use of various branches of knowledge, through civil engineering and through History and Archeology. Both sciences, working in common, can allow us to reach a vision of territorial planning and this can be a starting point for the location of archaeological remains of settlements associated with them.<br />In this research, firstly, a general synthesis of the Roman dams in the Iberian Peninsula is developed in order to establish where they are built, for what use, the evolution of different construction techniques, materials and evolution of the constructive types taking into account those that have reached our days.<br />In another section, the evolution that studies have had on the dams is exposed and the way in which they are subject to protection by the authorities.<br />Finally, a last section is devoted to the study of existing dams in the Aguasvivas river basin, describing them and with a personal contribution of the author of the research, as a civil engineer, in terms of presenting some hypotheses about them.<br /><br />
