Resumen: The Congress of Differential Equations and Applications / Congress of Applied Mathematics (CEDYA / CMA) is the biennial congress of the Spanish Society of Applied Mathematics (SeMA). The first CEDYA was celebrated in September 1978 in El Escorial (Madrid), and the first joint CEDYA / CMA took place in Málaga in 1989. The XXVII CEDYA / XVII CMA was held from 18th to 22nd July 2022 at the Facultad de Medicina of the University of Zaragoza and was organized by the Instituto Universitario de Investigación de Matemáticas y Aplicaciones de la Universidad de Zaragoza (IUMA). The congress format was hybrid due to the uncertain pandemic situation caused by COVID-19. This congress attracted near 350 participants from different universities. They presented 250 lectures, eight of which were invited. The conference was structured in eighteen mini-simposia, proposed by different researchers and groups, eight special sessions and a poster session, both organized by the Local Organizing Committee. The topics of the conference covered Partial Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Ordinary Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis and Simulation, Numerical Linear Algebra, Optimal Control and Inverse Problems, Mathematics Applied to Industry, Social Sciences and Biology, Mathematical Education, Scientific Computation, Approximation Theory and Discrete Mathematics. These Proceedings have been published in the institutional repository of the University of Zaragoza. They contain nineteen selected papers associated with the lectures presented at XXVII CEDYA / XVII CMA. The editors would like to thank the authors for their contributions and cooperation, without them it would have been impossible to produce these proceedings.
