Usually several separation methods like polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE), field-flow fractionation (FFF) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC) are used prior to the mass spectrometric measurements. In many cases the use of these hyphenated techniques provides important methodologies to know the bioavailability, mobility and toxicity of elements in life and environmental sciences. Alternatively, the capabilities of the single particle detection by ICP-MS (SD-ICP-MS) for the selective identification, characterization and determination of engineered nanoparticles will be also discussed.</dc:description><dc:date>2011</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/129469</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1016/j.ijms.2011.03.015</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/129469</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:129469</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MICINN/CGL2009-14237</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MASS SPECTROMETRY 307, 1-3 (2011), 99-104</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>by-nc-nd</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
