Resumen: El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar una serie de retratos elaborados, desde diferentes disciplinas artísticas, alrededor de la escritora chilena Teresa Wilms Montt. Su excepcional belleza y su trágica biografía son los motivos sobre los que se construyen las representaciones que le dedican, muchas veces en menoscabo de la valoración de su labor artística, que, hasta hace poco, ha ocupado un segundo plano, así como su rol autorial. La vida y figura de esta singular mujer ha encontrado eco en la pintura, el cine, el teatro y el retrato literario modernista, formatos para los que se ha convertido en objeto de arte y estudio; no obstante, su talento y el tiempo trascurrido están permitiendo que aflore el sujeto de arte que también ha sido.
The goal of this work is to analyze a series of elaborated portraits, from different artistic disciplines, about the Chilean writer Teresa Wilms Montt. Her exceptional beauty and her tragic biography are the reasons on which the representations dedicated to her are built, often to the detriment of the appreciation of her artistic value, which, until recently, has taken a back seat. The life and figure of this exceptional woman has found an echo in painting, cinema, theater and modernist
literary portraiture, formats for which she has become an object of art and study; however, her talent and the time that has passed are allowing the art subject that she has also been.
