A peculiar work in its origins, its genesis dates back to the first half of the 15th century, but it was in the 16th century that it became a publishing success. The analysis of its paratextual elements, especially titles, incipits and cover woodcuts, demonstrates the printers’ strategies to bring them closer to a certain line of dissemination and readership, where a major influence of the books of chivalry is perceived. La Historia del rey Canamor y del infante Turián, su hijo, y de las grandes aventuras que ovieron se imprime por primera vez en Burgos en 1509. Obra peculiar en sus orígenes, debió de escribirse en la primera mitad del siglo xv, pero es en el siglo xvi cuando se convierte en obra de éxito editorial. El análisis de sus elementos paratextuales, especialmente titulaciones, íncipits y grabados de portada, demuestra las estrategias de los impresores por acercarla a una determinada línea de difusión y recepción, donde la influencia de los libros de caballerías se percibe como mayoritaria.
