000132141 5203_ $$aA menudo se considera a las feministas como mujeres difíciles e irritables que suelen estropear un ambiente relajado con su excesiva susceptibilidad. El objetivo que aquí se persigue es analizar la interesante forma en que Ahmed se hace eco de este rechazo al feminismo, insistiendo en su alcance político y su capacidad para denunciar y enfrentarse al sexismo, al racismo o la homofobia. Se ofrece una reflexión sobre nuestra capacidad para detectar y cuestionar los discursos de odio. Se subraya, así, la importancia de las posiciones críticas e incómodas, tan características de algunos feminismos, por ser perspectivas que pueden suponer un estímulo para la transformación y mejora de la sociedad. Para ello, se realiza una revisión de las obras de Ahmed en las que aparece la figura de la feminista aguafiestas y se recurre a otros textos relevantes para comprender su propuesta.
Feminists are often depicted as difficult, bitter women who tend to spoil a relaxed atmosphere with their excessive sensitivity. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the compelling way in which Ahmed deals with this rejection of feminism, emphasizing the latter's political significance and its ability to denounce and confront sexism, racism, and homophobia. Furthermore, we reflect on our capacity to expose and question hate speech in all its forms. Thus, we highlight the need for those inconvenient, critical positions so characteristic of some feminisms to stimulate the transformation and improvement of our societies. For this purpose, we offer a review of Ahmed's writings on the feminist killjoy, as well as other texts which help us appreciate the significance and scope of her work.
