La Política Matrimonial de los Reyes Católicos: su análisis desde la reginalidad

El presente trabajo propone el estudio y análisis de la política matrimonial de los Reyes Católicos desde una perspectiva de género. El objetivo es entender el importante papel que tuvieron las infantas castellano-aragonesas en la consolidación de las alianzas internacionales durante el tránsito de los siglos XV al XVI y las consecuencias que entrañaron. De hecho, la política matrimonial de los Reyes Católicos es esencial para comprender la historia de España durante los siglos XVI y XVII porque sentó las bases dinásticas y territoriales de la Monarquía Hispánica y permitió la introducción de la dinastía Habsburgo en el gobierno de los reinos hispánicos. Las mujeres del linaje Habsburgo-Trastámara tuvieron una importante labor en el asentamiento y mantenimiento de la Monarquía Hispánica, así como en el reforzamiento de alianzas internacionales entre distintas potencias con los reinos hispánicos.
Abstract:
This work proposes the study and analysis of the marital policy of the Catholic Monarchs from a gender perspective. The objective is to understand the significant role that Castilian-Aragonese princesses played in the consolidation of international alliances during the transition from the 15th to the 16th centuries and the consequences they entailed. In fact, the marital policy of the Catholic Monarchs is essential to comprehend the history of Spain during the 16th and 17th centuries because it laid the dynastic and territorial foundations of the Spanish Monarchy and allowed the introduction of the Habsburg dynasty into the governance of the Hispanic kingdoms. Women from the Habsburg-Trastámara lineage had a significant role in the establishment and maintenance of the Spanish Monarchy, as well as in the reinforcement of international alliances between the Hispanic kingdoms and various powers.
