Resumen: As the new technological developments become increasingly complex, the creation of partnerships between companies and research centres becomes essential. Nowadays, there are several platforms trying to offer a stable innovation market that can be used for the transfer of innovation in water management. However, they neither allow a complete description of the features of innovation proposals nor are capable of describing the specific requirements of the different research fields. This work describes OntoInnova, an ontology that provides a more complete model of the different elements related to research, development and innovation exchange in water management. We have applied this ontology for the modelling of the innovation data collected in the European WE@EU project for water management in urban environments.
