La detección temprana así como los avances médicos y terapéuticos han tenido efectos beneficiosos en la supervivencia del cáncer. Este incremento de la supervivencia también conlleva un aumento de secuelas físicas, psicológicas y funcionales que a menudo no están cubiertas por el sistema sanitario; con estos datos, se plantea la necesidad de desarrollar un modelo que promueva la continuidad del cuidado al grupo de mujeres en la etapa de supervivencia. Teniendo en cuenta que la calidad de vida es un área de intervención independiente para enfermería, estos profesionales tienen una importante contribución en este sentido y por eso surge el objetivo de conocer la relevancia de su actuación en el periodo de supervivencia. Para ello se ha realizado una búsqueda bibliográfica en bases de datos, libros y páginas web, y con la información obtenida se ha efectuado un programa de salud de enfermería que sea capaz de responder a los objetivos propuestos. Tras llevar a cabo la revisión bibliográfica, se puede concluir que la gran parte de las supervivientes de cáncer de mama siguen teniendo secuelas físicas, psicológicas y sociales, y que no están siendo correctamente tratadas. Es importante dar a conocer estos datos a los profesionales para que ellos mismos se conciencien de la importancia de su actuación y de esta forma poder actuar posteriormente con las pacientes para conseguir mejorar su calidad de vida. Abstract: Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor among women all around the world and has a great impact in their quality of life. Early detection, as well as clinical and therapeutic advances, have had beneficial effects on cancer survival. The increasing survival also leads to a growing number of physical, psychological and functional sequels that often are not covered by the health system; with these data, there is a need to develop a model that promotes the continuity of care for women in the stage of survival. Taking into account that quality of life is an independent area for nursing intervention, these professionals have an important contribution in this sense, and due to this, the target of knowing the importance of their actions in the stage of survival arises. For this, a literature search has been performed in databases, books and websites, and with the information obtained a Health Nursing Program has been effected in order to be able to answer the objectives proposed. After carrying out the literature review, it can be concluded that most of the breast cancer survivors still have physical, psychological and social sequels, and that they are not being properly treated.
