The high production throughput, coupled with quality constraints and the inherent uncertainty of the process, encourages the search for operating conditions that minimize nonconformities. The main uncertainties arise from the process variability and from the raw material itself. The proposed method, which is based on Bayesian optimization, takes these factors into account and obtains a robust set of process parameters. Due to the high computational cost and complexity of performing detailed simulations, a reduced order model is used to address the optimization. The proposal has been evaluated in a virtual environment, where it has been verified that it is able to minimize the impact of process uncertainties. In particular, it would significantly improve the quality of the product without incurring additional costs, achieving a 50% tighter dimensional tolerance compared to a solution obtained by a deterministic optimization algorithm. 000145180 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA-FSE/T73_23R$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA/T45-23R 000145180 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby-nc-nd$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ 000145180 590__ $$a6.5$$b2024 000145180 592__ $$a1.552$$b2024 000145180 591__ $$aAUTOMATION & CONTROL SYSTEMS$$b13 / 89 = 0.146$$c2024$$dQ1$$eT1 000145180 591__ $$aENGINEERING, MULTIDISCIPLINARY$$b10 / 175 = 0.057$$c2024$$dQ1$$eT1 000145180 591__ $$aINSTRUMENTS & INSTRUMENTATION$$b6 / 79 = 0.076$$c2024$$dQ1$$eT1 000145180 593__ $$aApplied Mathematics$$c2024$$dQ1 000145180 593__ $$aElectrical and Electronic Engineering$$c2024$$dQ1 000145180 593__ $$aInstrumentation$$c2024$$dQ1 000145180 593__ $$aControl and Systems Engineering$$c2024$$dQ1 000145180 593__ $$aComputer Science Applications$$c2024$$dQ1 000145180 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000145180 700__ $$aMonzon, Luis 000145180 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-8977-5296$$aRamirez-Laboreo, Edgar$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000145180 700__ $$aRodriguez-Fortun, Jose-Manuel 000145180 7102_ $$15007$$2520$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
