note = "The rural school is a reality forgotten by the education
authority. The environment presented by this type of
school, with individualized attention, autonomy and
self-learning, helps the teaching and learning of all
students. I feel it’s important to value all its
characteristics from a positive stance: individuality,
diversity and multi-grade classrooms. Which are too often
ignored in all educational policies proposed by
governments. This is more so when it comes to the attention
given to students with special educational needs in a rural
setting. In the absence of these factors, there is interest
in learning how to carry out this way of attention to
children. For this reason, it has been necessary to analyze
two experiences of teaching practices in rural schools. The
first, in Fraga (Huesca), where individual attention is
given to pupils with educational needs. The second, the
attention given to a blind girl in a rural Galician
classroom. With this child, a creative model was practiced
with dynamism, educational inclusion and stimulation. Due
to my concern about this issue, I will offer a series of
proposals to improve the quality of education in rural
                       schools.",
