Notas: Resumen disponible también en inglés. This Final Degree Project shows an analysis of the danger of forest fires in the region of Matarraña in the summer period, because it is the time of the year in which a greater number of forest fires occur. The project review the current and the past of the forest fires in Spain, Aragon and the region of Matarraña. Some aspects of the forest fires are reviewed too, such as their causes, consequences, etc. Using the information available during the realization os this project, autum 2021, a series of mapas, with information of risk of ignition, risk of spread and danger of forest fires of the región of Matarraña in the summer period, have been created. To create these maps it has been used the working model of Salas and Chuvieco (1994) to calculate the danger of forest fires. The analysis of the danger of forest fires has been made taking information from these maps. The results show a high danger of forest fires in the región, so preventive measures and improvements in extinguishing services must be carried out to be able to reduce it. In conclusion, some reasons of high danger of forest fires are the abundant forest mass of the territory, the absence of fire stations in the region and the mediterranean climate of the study area, characterized by high temperatures and low rainfall in the summer period.
