000147901 5203_ $$aEn este trabajo se presenta, en primer lugar, una descripción de las organizaciones autónomas descentralizadas (DAO) y su papel en el sector capital-riesgo. Estas nuevas entidades utilizan tecnología Blockchain para operar sin necesidad de un órgano de administración como tal. Una vez analizadas las principales características de las DAOs, así como su encaje jurídico, se presenta un tipo concreto: la DAO VC (venture capital). Estas DAOs de capital riesgo utilizan los fondos captados para invertir en otras empresas, diferenciándose de las entidades de capital riesgo tradicionales por su descentralización, transparencia y flexibilidad, aspectos que les dotan de potencial para convertirse una nueva forma de funcionamiento en el mercado de capital riesgo.
This essay, first, aims to present a description of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO) and their role in the venture capital sector. These new entities use Blockchain technology to operate without the need for an administrative body. Once the main characteristics of DAOs have been analyzed, as well as their legal framework, a specific type is presented: VC DAO (venture capital DAO). These venture capital DAOs use the funds raised to invest in other companies, differentiating themselves from traditional venture capital entities due to their decentralization, transparency and flexibility. These aspects give VC DAOs the potential to become a new way of operating in the venture capital market.
