This methodology has been validated with the use of MOFs ZIF-8, ZIF-93 and UiO-66 as fillers for thin-film nanocomposite (TFN) membranes. These membranes were successfully applied in the organic solvent nanofiltration of sunset yellow (SY) in methanol obtaining the highest permeance when UiO-66 and ZIF-93 were used with a value of 11 L m -2 h -1 bar -1 . The permeance improvements are related to the MOF porosity, polyamide-MOF layer thickness and the hydrophilic/hydrophobic character of the membrane. © 2019 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry</dc:description><dc:date>2019</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/147984</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1016/j.jiec.2019.04.057</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/147984</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:147984</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA/T43-17R</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/BES-2014-068287</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO-FEDER/MAT2016-77290-R</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry 77 (2019), 344-354</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>by-nc-nd</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
