The proposed TIA is based on a conventional structure with an inverting voltage amplifier and a feedback resistor, but incorporates a new technique to enhance the input dynamic range and to prevent the TIA from saturation at high input currents. According to electrical characterization the receiver shows an optical sensitivity of −26 dB m for a BER=10−12, assuming a responsivity of 1 A/W, and an optical power dynamic range above 26 dB. The power consumption of the core is only 10.6 mW at a single supply voltage of 1.8 V.</dc:description><dc:date>2011</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/148981</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1016/j.mejo.2011.06.005</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/148981</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:148981</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MICINN-FEDER/TEC2008-05455/TEC</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>MICROELECTRONICS JOURNAL 42, 5 (2011), 1136-1142</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>All rights reserved</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://www.europeana.eu/rights/rr-f/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
