Resumen: The Bologna defixiones, ancient curse tablets acquired by the Museo Archeologico Civico di Bologna, are examined with a focus on three specific pieces, notably their physical characteristics and inscriptions. The study aims to shed light on the deterioration, restoration, and script similarities among the tablets. It also connects findings from Bologna to broader contexts of defixiones in Italy and other regions, highlighting significant parallels and cultural exchange in Roman magical practices.
