000156326 500__ $$aThe use of the Internet has positive and negative social consequences. Among the negatives is the so-called phenomenon of Internet Addiction (IA), mainly in young people. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out prevention / intervention programs to reduce the degree of Internet addiction in young people and preserve and improve their degree of physical and psychological well-being. This program is aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 18, selected at the secondary and high school centres in Teruel. The program consists of 8 group sessions over 4 weeks, that is, 2 weekly sessions, and its duration will be 2 hours each session. A questionnaire on sociodemographic data will be used to characterize the sample; variables such as sex, age, country of birth, educational level and daily access time to the network will be taken into account. Secondly, the Spanish version of the Young Internet Addiction Scale (IAT; Internet Addiction Test) will be applied at two time points: before participating in the intervention program, where the symptoms of addiction to Internet, and later to check the effectiveness of this program. If the scores obtained in the IAT after the application of the program decrease significantly, compared to those obtained before its application, we will understand that the program has been effective. 000156326 520__ $$aEl uso de Internet conlleva consecuencias sociales positivas y negativas. Entre las negativas se encuentra el llamado fenómeno de adicción a Internet (IA), principalmente en los jóvenes. Por ello es necesario llevar a cabo programas de prevención/intervención para disminuir el grado de adicción a Internet en los jóvenes y preservar y mejorar su grado de bienestar físico y psicológico. <br />Este programa va dirigido a jóvenes de edades comprendidas entre los 14 y los 18 años, seleccionados en los centros de educación secundaria y bachillerato de Teruel. El programa consta de 8 sesiones grupales a lo largo de 4 semanas, es decir, 2 sesiones semanales, y su duración será de 2 horas cada sesión. <br />Se utilizará un cuestionario sobre datos sociodemográficos para caracterizar la muestra; se tendrán en cuenta variables como el sexo, la edad, el país de nacimiento, el nivel educativo y el tiempo diario de acceso a la red. En segundo lugar, se aplicará la versión en español de la Escala de Adicción a Internet de Young (IAT; Internet Adicction Test) en dos momentos temporales: antes de la participación en el programa de intervención, donde se evaluarán los síntomas de la adicción a Internet, y posteriormente para comprobar la eficacia de dicho programa. <br />Si las puntuaciones obtenidas en la IAT con posterioridad a la aplicación del programa disminuyen significativamente, en comparación con las obtenidas antes de su aplicación, entenderemos que el programa ha resultado eficaz.<br /><br /><br />
