This review explores the translocation of coarse-grained polymer chains through extended pores, focusing on the results obtained under time dependent drivings applied either within the cavity (active pore) or at the polymer’s extremities (end-pulled). Additionally, the review discusses the potential application of polymer translocation in identifying protein secondary structures, and in this context presents promising preliminary outcomes.
