                       schools and an organisational model of Grouping Rural
                       Centre, (what is known as CRA: Centro Rural Agrupado). This
                       thematic field is very interesting because of the uncertain
                       future that a lot of rural classrooms present and the
                       doubts about the efficacy of the training that the students
                       receive in this kind of schools. In connection with the
                       structure of this project, after some reflection about the
                       concepts of rural territory and grouping rural centre, I
                       will analyse the strategies, procedures and activities that
                       teachers use in this field. This is done so with the
                       twofold purpose of: first, discussing critically how to
                       organise and develop the teaching learning process in the
                       Infant education level; and second, making a proposal
                       related to how to improve it. To do this, I study a
                       concrete centre, the Palancia-Mijares CRA (grouping rural
                       centre), located between the areas or lands of Alto
                       Palancia and Alto Mijares, in the inner western side of the
                       province of Castellón. I explain the characteristics of
                       the territory, its organisational structure and its basic
                       particularities concerning the teaching learning process.
                       All this has allowed me to detect the strong and weak
                       points of the teaching-learning system and also to make a
                       proposal for the improvement of the educational process of
                       teaching and learning under the conditions found in the
                       CRAs or grouping rural centres. Methodologically, this work
                       combines: first, a bibliographic review about the rural
                       school and the territory of the four classrooms of the CRA
                       Palancia-Mijares; second, the consultation of the
                       statistical resources of CRA villages published by
                       Valenciana Community; and third, fieldwork developed in the
                       classrooms and materialised in the interviews maintained
                       with the teachers of the level of Infant Education of this
                       school.",
