                       entities known by the name of fora. These nuclei, cited in
                       the legal sources with the coloniae, municipia,
                       conciliabula and praefecturae, were characterized by being
                       in sparsely populated areas and that lacked of urbs. Like
                       the conciliabula, the fora served, in the western part of
                       the Roman Empire, for administer the rural communities. The
                       fora were small nuclei that concentrated every
                       administrative and political activity of these rural
                       communities. In the following pages we will study the
                       functioning, the attributions and the origin of these
                       entities. In addition, we will study the localization and
                       all information that we have of this entities.",
