El proceso de Nuremberg: tratamiento informativo en los diarios no oficiales

Abstract: Este trabajo estudia el tratamiento informativo de los juicios de Nuremberg en la prensa no oficial española a través de dos de los diarios más representativos: ABC y La Vanguardia. El proceso de Nuremberg tuvo lugar entre 1945 y 1946, cuando el régimen franquista todavía necesitaba legitimar su Gobierno ante los Aliados que no olvidaban ni los orígenes fascistas de la dictadura de Franco ni su apoyo y colaboración hacia el Tercer Reich. Un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo del contenido de las piezas informativas permitirá estudiar los encuadres utilizados por estos diarios para construir la realidad de los juicios de Nuremberg y relacionarlos con los objetivos y necesidades políticas del régimen franquista. Este estudio se basa en la idea de que los diarios, controlados por el régimen, intentarán subrayar la neutralidad de España durante la guerra y diferenciar al régimen de Franco de la Alemania nazi y la Italia fascista.

Notas: This essay studies the Nuremberg Trials’ media treatment in Spanish no-official press through two of the most represented newspapers: ABC and La Vanguardia. The Nuremberg process took place between 1945 and 1946, when the Francoist regime still needed to legitimize its government in face of the Allies, who didn’t forget neither fascist origins of Franco’s dictatorship, nor Franco’s support and collaboration towards the Third Reich. A quantitative and qualitative content analysis of the informative pieces will allow us to study which frames were used by these papers in order to build Nuremberg Trials’ reality and to connect them with the Francoist regime’s political objectives and necessities. This essay is based on the idea that these papers, which were controlled by the regime, will try to emphasize the Spanish neutrality during the war and distinguish Franco’s dictatorship from the Nazi German and the Fascist Italy.
