The teaching of reading and writing, with an emphasis on Synthetic Phonics

Abstract: Synthetic phonics is the method used in British schools to teach reading and writing. Throughout the centuries different methodologies have appeared with the purpose of finding the best way for teaching to read and write in English. This research provides a general view of the different approaches and it is focused on Synthetic phonics, its theoretical framework and practical application.
