Se examinan aquí algunos descubrimientos y limitaciones del darwinismo cultural, especialmente en su aplicación a la narratología y la teoría literaria, desde el punto de vista de la filosofía emergentista, de la antropología y de la filología, complementando así la crítica psicológica de Pinker. ________________________________________________________________________________ This is a review of Steven Pinker's article "Toward a Consilient Study of Literature", which is itself a review of and response to the theories exponded in THE LITERARY ANIMAL, a volume on literary sociobiology edited by Jonathan Gottschall and David Sloan Wilson. Some insights and limitations of cultural darwinism, and more specifically of its applications to narratology and literary theory, are here examined from the point of view of emergentist philosophy, anthropology and philology, complementing Pinker's psychological critique.
