Both bacterial computing and bacterial intelligence are two general traits manifested along adaptive behaviors that respond to surrounding environmental conditions. These two traits have generated a variety of theoretical and applied approaches. Since the different systems of bacterial signaling and the different ways of genetic change are better known and more carefully explored, the whole adaptive possibilities of bacteria may be studied under new angles. For instance, there appear instances of molecular "learning" along the mechanisms of evolution. More in concrete, and looking specifically at the time dimension, the bacterial mechanisms of learning and evolution appear as two different and related mechanisms for adaptation to the environment; in somatic time the former and in evolutionary time the latter. In the present chapter it will be reviewed the possible application of both kinds of mechanisms to prokaryotic molecular computing schemes as well as to the solution of real world problems. 000048302 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/es/ 000048302 590__ $$a3.989$$b2014 000048302 591__ $$aMICROBIOLOGY$$b27 / 119 = 0.227$$c2014$$dQ1$$eT1 000048302 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000048302 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-6148-0667$$aNavarro, J. 000048302 700__ $$aMarijuán, P.C. 000048302 773__ $$g5 (2014), A.101 [10 p.]$$pFront. microbiol.$$tFRONTIERS IN MICROBIOLOGY$$x1664-302X 000048302 8564_ $$s2136974$$uhttps://zaguan.unizar.es/record/48302/files/texto_completo.pdf$$yVersión publicada 000048302 8564_ $$s131325$$uhttps://zaguan.unizar.es/record/48302/files/texto_completo.jpg?subformat=icon$$xicon$$yVersión publicada 000048302 909CO $$ooai:zaguan.unizar.es:48302$$particulos$$pdriver 000048302 951__ $$a2020-06-23-12:28:06 000048302 980__ $$aARTICLE
