This is as a response to the high demand for care from which our health system suffers. The situation involves other factors such as the lack of coordination between levels, poor direction in planning, the high number of inappropriate hospitalizations and the increase in waiting lists. Aim: To gather information about these consultations and evaluate their influence on the improvement of relations between levels within healthcare, as well as the ethical issues underlying their implementation and influence on the final result of this coordination model. Method: A thorough literature review on the basis of IMB, EMBASE and MEDLINE data was performed. Studies within the scope of the High Resolution Clinics and the relationship between the quality of communication between healthcare levels and the quality of service they provided were selected. Through a series of screenings, a total of 54 articles were collected. These articles were analyzed and evaluated according to their qualities in the field of communication. Results: Of all the articles analyzed, only 20 were quantifiable according to their performance in communications. 12 of them obtained a relatively positive result and 8 obtained a negative result. The item which obtained the lowest score in the evaluation was a strengthening in primary care. In contrast, the item that obtained the highest score was the existence of a protocol (although it was not consensual in all cases). We found flaws in the communication system of the One-Stop Clinic model that could lead to deficient long-term outcomes. Conclusions: We have not found evidence supporting the High Resolution Clinic model as an improvement in relations between healthcare levels. It is appropriate and advisable to incorporate measures to strengthen communication between these levels so that this model entails real coordination and provides the full potential in providing quality healthcare to its patients.", }
