In our model the motor switches to its active state for a fixed amount of time, while it waits for an ATP molecule which triggers the motor, during an exponentially distributed time lapse. The polymer is modelled as a beads-springs chain with both excluded volume and bending contributions, and moves in a stochastic three dimensional environment modelled with a Langevin dynamics at a fixed temperature. The resulting dynamics shows a Michaelis-Menten translocation velocity that depends on the chain flexibility. The scaling behavior of the mean translocation time with the polymer length for different bending values is also investigated.</dc:description><dc:date>2017</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/61945</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1038/s41598-017-04364-7</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/61945</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:61945</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/FIS2014-55867-P</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>Scientific reports 7 (2017), [11 pp]</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>by</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/es/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
