And yet, despite broad agreement that this approach facilitates a better understanding of teams, it has only now been timidly incorporated into team research. To help fully incorporate the logic of teams as CAS in the science of teams, we review extant research on teams approached from a nonlinear dynamical system theory. Using a systematic review approach, we selected 92 articles published over the last 17 years to integrate what we know about teams as CAS. Our review reveals the evidence supporting teams as CAS, and the set of analytical techniques to analyze team data from this perspective. This review contributes to teams’ theory and practice by offering ways to identify both research methods and managing techniques that scholars and practitioners may apply to study and manage teams as CAS. 000062986 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/PSI2012-31135$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/PSI-2013-44854-R 000062986 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby-nc-nd$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ 000062986 590__ $$a1.222$$b2018 000062986 591__ $$aPSYCHOLOGY, APPLIED$$b58 / 82 = 0.707$$c2018$$dQ3$$eT3 000062986 591__ $$aPSYCHOLOGY, SOCIAL$$b47 / 63 = 0.746$$c2018$$dQ3$$eT3 000062986 591__ $$aMANAGEMENT$$b171 / 217 = 0.788$$c2018$$dQ4$$eT3 000062986 592__ $$a0.933$$b2018 000062986 593__ $$aSocial Psychology$$c2018$$dQ1 000062986 593__ $$aApplied Psychology$$c2018$$dQ1 000062986 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000062986 700__ $$aMarques-Quinteiro, P. 000062986 700__ $$aNavarro, J. 000062986 700__ $$aRico, R. 000062986 7102_ $$14009$$2740$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
