This measure is derived from the correlation sum of a trajectory generated by a random walker navigating the network, and extends the classical Grassberger-Procaccia algorithm to the context of complex networks. The method is validated with reliable results for both synthetic networks and real-world networks such as the world air-transportation network or urban networks, and provides a computationally fast way for estimating the dimensionality of networks which only relies on the local information provided by the walkers.</dc:description><dc:date>2013</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/63182</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1103/PhysRevLett.110.168703</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/63182</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:63182</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA/FM122-10</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/FIS2009-13690</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/FIS2011-14539-E</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/FIS2011-25167</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/FIS2012-38266-C02-01</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>Physical Review Letters 110, 16 (2013), 168703 [5 pp]</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>by-nc-nd</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
