year = "2017",
note = "Spanish households, as consumers they are, they contribute
to carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere. Using The
Income Households Survey (Statistics National Institute),
it has been calculated the amount of emissions for two
different temporal periods with the objective of
discovering the evolution and define the technological and
supply components that induce this changes. This analysis
has been done with the Structural Decomposition Analysis
method (SDA). The final results shows that the carbon
dioxide emissions were reduced in the temporal period in
which the financial crisis took place. This was mainly due
to the reduction in the pollution coefficients associated
with the goods and services demanded by Spanish households.
But on the other hand, the changes in consumption patterns
and in the households income distribution has made
households turn into a more polluting way of life in 2015
than in 2007.",
