Resumen: Breve presentación de la asignatura Los objetivos de esta asignatura de formación básica de 2º curso son inseparables de los de 26511 Inglés en educación Infantil I, de primer curso. Así pues, el objetivo principal de esta asignatura de formación básica es que el alumno mejore su competencia comunicativa oral y escrita en lengua inglesa y que se acerque a la cultura de los países de habla inglesa, centrándose especialmente en el entorno inmediato del niño, a la vez que reflexiona sobre las prácticas de aula para mejorar su aprendizaje y su formación didáctica específica. Se profundizará en aspectos socio-educativos de la infancia. Programa de la asignatura La planificación de las diferentes actividades de aprendizaje se estructurará alrededor de los temas que tengan especial interés para los estudios y el desarrollo profesional del alumnado, a modo de ejemplo: 1. Cultura e identidad social II. Culture and Social Identity II. 2. Entorno infantil II: Desarrollo y salud infantil; la escuela infantil en los países de habla inglesa. Children environment II: Child health and development; infant schools in English-speaking countries. 3. Introducción a la literatura infantil II: Literatura infantil en inglés: obras clave. Introduction to children literature II: Children literature in English: selected works.

Abstract: The main objectives of this subject of 2nd course basic training are completely related tothe ones in Infant Education I (26511). Therefore, the principal objective of this basictraining course is to make the students improve their communicative competence inwriting and speaking the English language. Moreover, to make them approach the Britishculture and also focus on the children environment, reflecting about the teaching processinside the classroom so that their learning and specific didactic training can get better.We will center in socio-educational aspects with reference to the infant education period.    Program The planning of the different learning activities will be structured based on the topics witha special interest for the personal development of the students and their studies, such as:a) Culture and social Identity IIb) Children environment II: Child health and development: infant education inEnglish speaking countries.c) Introduction to children Literature II: Children Literature in English. SelectedWorks.   1: Formal aspects recognition and their different uses and meanings through activities ofobservation, reflection, and problems solution.2: Extensive reading outside the class (complementary works) and intensive reading, ofshorter texts.3: Listening activities and the viewing of parts of videos with comprehension tasks,grammar, pragmatic, and discursive analysis of the language.4: Practical sessions in order to improve oral production and phonetic correction.5: Debates, role-playings or simulation activities for the oral practice.6: Searching for information (Internet, library) about cultural aspects related to theprogram so as to prepare an oral exposition.7: Guided practice of writing and collaborative self-correction.8: Practical works with different online resources in order to foster self-directed learning.
