Resumen: Breve presentación de la asignatura Fundamentos de Automática es una asignatura de seis créditos ECTS de carácter obligatorio que se imparte en el segundo cuatrimestre del segundo curso de la carrera y forma parte de la materia de Control Automático. Esta asignatura desarrolla los conceptos básicos de la teoría de sistemas y de control, abordando los conceptos de modelado de sistemas, representación de sistemas, dinámica de sistemas y análisis y diseño de sistemas realimentados. En cada tema se muestran los conceptos teóricos que se complementan con la realización de ejercicios y prácticas de simulación. De esta forma, los alumnos trabajan tanto en clase como de forma autónoma, con el fin principal de dotarles de un papel activo en su proceso de aprendizaje, teniendo como punto central y fundamental de referencia a la hora de evaluarlos, la importancia de la reflexión, análisis e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos haciéndonos partícipes del espíritu de Bolonia.

Abstract: Brief introduction to the subject The Automatic Foundation is a compulsory subject with six ECTS credits that is lectured in the second four-month period in the second year of the Mechatronics degree and forms part of the topic Automatic Control. This subject develops the basis of the systems and control theory, studying the concepts of modelling of systems, representing of systems, system dynamics, and analysis and design of feedback systems. Every lesson of this subject shows the theoretical background that is supplemented with practical exercises and simulation studies. Therefore, students work in the class and have some homework in order to get the main role of their learning process.
