Resumen: Breve presentación de la asignatura Introducción a las dimensiones sociológicas del fenómeno turístico, sobre todo, atendiendo a las dimensiones sociales del comportamiento turístico y a las consecuencias sociales de dicho fenómeno tanto en los turistas como en las sociedades receptoras. Contenidos   - Objeto y método de la Sociología. - Trabajo y ocio desde una perspectiva histórica. - Turismo y Sociedad Global: Encuentros entre sociedades. - Conformación histórica del turismo de masas: componentes socioeconómicos y culturales. - Transformaciones económicas, sociales y culturales en el capitalismo maduro: losproductos turísticos diferenciados. La actividad turística como forma de distinción social. - Las motivaciones turísticas. - Los impactos socioculturales del turismo. Las complejas relaciones entre ‘anfitriones e invitados - Las particularidades del turismo como actividad socioeconómica de servicios.  

Abstract: Brief presentation of the subject Introduction to the sociological dimensions of the tourism phenomenon, especially taking into account the social dimensions of tourism behavior and the social consequences of this phenomenon both on tourists and host societies.   Contents - Purpose and method of sociology. - Work and leisure from a historical perspective. - Tourism and Global Society: Meetings between societies. - Historical Conformation of mass tourism: socioeconomic and cultural components. - Economic, social and cultural transformations of mature capitalism: Differenced Tourist Products. Tourism activity as a way of social distinction. - Tourists motivations. - Socio-cultural impacts of tourism. The complex relationships between hosts and guests - The particularities of tourism as a socio-economic activity of services.
