La asignatura está dividida en varios bloques diferenciados en los que se aborda: i) las reacciones fundamentales, mecanismos y aplicaciones de catalizadores organometálicos que operan en fase homogénea, ii) los principios, clasificación y aplicaciones de catalizadores heterogéneos, iii) el diseño y mecanismo de acción de organocatalizadores. Por último, se presenta una selección de algunas de las líneas de investigación de vanguardia en catálisis y su potencial para afrontar los nuevos retos para un desarrollo sostenible. $$bThe course focuses on the study of the basic concepts of catalysis, the different types of catalysts, their mechanism of action and their applications. The course is divided into several different blocks: i) basic catalytic reactions, mechanisms and applications of organometallic catalysts in homogeneous phase, ii) principles, classification and applications of heterogeneous catalysts, iii) the design and the mechanism of action of organocatalysts.
