For this purpose, a design methodology focused on maximizing the product of the magnetic coupling and the quality factor is proposed. The methodology is based on a combination of FEA simulations and analytical calculations of the skin and proximity losses in the tube. Analytical calculations are based on solutions of Maxwell''s equations for a tubular geometry. These solutions are oriented to extract both skin and proximity losses in the tube. Performance of a prototype of 1.5 kW is evaluated and compared with a conventional litz-wire implementation.</dc:description><dc:date>2017</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/70823</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1109/APEC.2017.7930795</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/70823</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:70823</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/CSD2009-00046</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/RTC-2014-1847-6</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/TEC2013-42937-R</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/UZ/JIUZ-2015-TEC-12</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>Conference Proceedings - IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition - APEC 16900830 (2017), 848 - 854</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>All rights reserved</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://www.europeana.eu/rights/rr-f/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
