note = "Introduction: Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are
increasing due to bad behaviors in the intimate
relationships of young people, because of a misuse or
disuse of condoms for a lack of knowledge. The professional
nurse plays a significant role in the prevention of these
infections so as to prevent them and reduce STDs.
Objectives: To obtain recommendations for a correct nursing
performance of patients with Sexually Transmitted Disease.
Methodology: In the bibliography, database, such as,
PUBMED, CUIDEN, SCIELO was used and other different
official websites as well. Development: One of the main
nurses’ functions, with which it is possible to eliminate
unsafe behaviors for people’s health, it is the formation
in sexual habits. After this intervention, well informed
people can have a greater communication about sexuality and
manage to develop favorable actions for the prevention of
STIs. Another task is reporting the patient about their
exposure to the infection in order to try to break the
                       chain of transmission. Conclusion: Sexual
                       education-especially orientated towards risky populations
and infected patients-, the correct control of contacts
with identification cards, the provision of true
information to eliminate false beliefs of STDs are some of
the recommendations that nurses should follow.",
