The TGA, DSC and FTIR characterization results for the so obtained nanoporous membranes reveal the chemical modification of PBI upon irradiation along the track walls. A clear conduction outperforming is shown by phosphoric acid doped track-etched PBI in comparison with dense PBI counterparts. This behavior could be explained by the effective contribution of additional pathways for proton transport involving shorter benzimidazole fragments, cross-linked PBI nanodomains and free amphoteric phosphoric acid molecules settled on the pore walls. 000078014 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/FP7/209481/EU/NANOSTRUCTURED ELECTROLYTE MEMBRANES BASED ON POLYMER-IONIC LIQUIDS-ZEOLITE COMPOSITES FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE PEM FUEL CELL/ZEOCELL 000078014 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby-nc-nd$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ 000078014 590__ $$a5.056$$b2014 000078014 591__ $$aPOLYMER SCIENCE$$b7 / 82 = 0.085$$c2014$$dQ1$$eT1 000078014 591__ $$aENGINEERING, CHEMICAL$$b7 / 135 = 0.052$$c2014$$dQ1$$eT1 000078014 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersion 000078014 700__ $$aSgroi, Mauro 000078014 700__ $$aPullini, Daniele 000078014 700__ $$aFerain, Etienne 000078014 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-9897-6527$$aPina Iritia, Maria Pilar$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000078014 7102_ $$15005$$2555$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
