This implies the use of a larger number of reduced-sized inductors, which present a lower efficiency. As a solution to increase the efficiency while maintaining the flexibility, we propose the use of partially overlapped inductors of a larger size. This concept is currently in use in wireless power transfer systems, where the transmitter arrangement consists of several overlapped coils. The aim of this paper is to evaluate this concept applied to domestic induction heating appliances, with special emphasis in analyzing the effects of introducing the multicoil system with dissipative media. Moreover, the losses in the winding will be studied in detail. The system will be prototyped and tested, delivering up to 3.7 kW.</dc:description><dc:date>2018</dc:date><dc:source>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/79352</dc:source><dc:doi>10.1109/TIE.2018.2801815</dc:doi><dc:identifier>http://zaguan.unizar.es/record/79352</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>oai:zaguan.unizar.es:79352</dc:identifier><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/DGA/FSE</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/RTC-2014-1847-6</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/TEC2016-78358-R</dc:relation><dc:relation>info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/UZ/JIUZ-2016-CIE-01</dc:relation><dc:identifier.citation>IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics 65, 10 (2018), 7762-7771</dc:identifier.citation><dc:rights>All rights reserved</dc:rights><dc:rights>http://www.europeana.eu/rights/rr-f/</dc:rights><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights></dc:dc>
