We detected CCHFV RNA in Hyalomma lusitanicum and H. marginatum ticks for 3 of the 5 years. The rate of infected ticks was 2.78% (44/1, 579), which was similar to those for other countries in Europe with endemic foci for CCHFV (Kosovo, Bulgaria, and Albania). These data confirm the established spread of CCHFV into western Europe. Phylogenetic study of the small RNA segment showed Africa-3 Glade as the only genotype identified, although we observed cocirculation of genetic variants during 2011 and 2015. We could not rule out genetic reassortments because of lack of sequence data for the medium and large RNA segments of the virus genome. 000079755 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby-nc-nd$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ 000079755 590__ $$a6.259$$b2019 000079755 591__ $$aINFECTIOUS DISEASES$$b7 / 93 = 0.075$$c2019$$dQ1$$eT1 000079755 591__ $$aIMMUNOLOGY$$b27 / 158 = 0.171$$c2019$$dQ1$$eT1 000079755 592__ $$a2.72$$b2019 000079755 593__ $$aEpidemiology$$c2019$$dQ1 000079755 593__ $$aMicrobiology (medical)$$c2019$$dQ1 000079755 593__ $$aInfectious Diseases$$c2019$$dQ1 000079755 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000079755 700__ $$aHabela, M.A. 000079755 700__ $$ade Arellano, E.R. 000079755 700__ $$aDiez, F. 000079755 700__ $$aLasala, F. 000079755 700__ $$aLopez, P. 000079755 700__ $$aSarria, A. 000079755 700__ $$aLabiod, N. 000079755 700__ $$aCalero-Bernal, R. 000079755 700__ $$aArenas, M. 000079755 700__ $$aTenorio, A. 000079755 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-7483-046X$$aEstrada-Pena, A.$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000079755 700__ $$aSanchez-Seco, M.P. 000079755 7102_ $$11009$$2773$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDpto.
