000085192 520__ $$aEl 11 de septiembre de 1973, el gobierno socialista y democrático de Salvador Allende en Chile llegaba a su fin. Mediante un golpe de estado liderado por Augusto Pinochet, comandante en jefe del ejército chileno, se instauraba en el país un régimen dictatorial y un sistema neoliberal. En plena Guerra Fría, el gobierno norteamericano jugó un papel muy importante en este acontecimiento. Con una política exterior centrada en acabar con el comunismo e implantar el capitalismo en América Latina, Estados Unidos apoyó el golpe de estado de Pinochet para derrocar a Allende, así como la posterior dictadura marcada por la violencia. En este trabajo se analizará el tratamiento que dio la prensa española al golpe de estado de Chile en la fase final del franquismo. Se observará cómo los diarios ABC, Mediterráneo y Mundo Obrero transmitieron el mismo acontecimiento siguiendo distintas ideologías.<br />Abstract: September 11th, 1973, Salvador Allende's socialist and democratic government in Chile was coming to an end. Through a coup led by Augusto Pinochet, commander-in-chief of the Chilean army, a dictatorial regime and a neoliberal system were established in the country. In the middle of the Cold War, the North American government played a very important role in this event. Following a foreign policy focused on ending communism and introducing capitalism in Latin America, the United States supported Pinochet's coup to overthrow Allende, as well as the subsequent dictatorship marked by violence. In this work we will analyze the treatment given by the Spanish press to the coup d'état in the final phase of the Franco regime. It will be observed how the newspapers ABC, Mediterráneo and Mundo Obrero transmitted the same event following different ideologies.<br />
