Para ello, el trabajo presentará en primer lugar la estructura del mismo y las fuentes empleadas. A continuación, pasará a exponer una síntesis del contexto histórico en el que se desenvolvió la rebelión bagauda, tanto la situación de la parte occidental del Imperio romano tardío como el caso de la Hispania de los siglos IV y V. A continuación, se acometerá a un síntesis general de las diversas teorías que tratan la cuestión de los bagaudas, su identidad, organización, objetivos, medios, etc. Una vez hecho esto, se señalarán varias de las fuentes en las que se hacen referencia a los bagaudas, empezando por Hidacio, para después llegar a las conclusiones del trabajo. Al final del mismo también se presentarán diversos mapas sobre la situación del Imperio romano en Occidente, sobre la Hispania tardo-romana y las rebeliones bagáudicas. <br />The present work is intended to synthesize the theories referred to the bagaudae, focusing in the case of the province os Hispania Tarraconensis of the mid Vth century, from various primary sources, highlighting the case of Hydatius’ Chronicon and Paulus Orosius’ Historiae aduersus paganos. For that, the work will firstly present it’s structure and employed sources. Next, it will expose a synthesis of the historical context in which the bagaudae developed, both the situation of the western part of the late roman Empire and the case of the IVth and Vth centuries’ Hispania. Then, it will undertake the numerous theories’ synthesis about the bagaudae, it’s identity, ortanization, goals, means, etc. Once done this, many sources which make reference of the bagaudae will be pointed out, starting with Hydatius, to later reach the work’s conclusions.
